Benefitting the Someplace Safe Fergus Falls Advocacy Office
Description: The annual Tea Fundraiser is the agency’s longest-running fundraising event, beginning in 2002. The Tea Fundraiser features exquisitely decorated tables from our group of talented table hostesses, each complete with a theme and lovely accents. The annual event features a light lunch, silent auction, raffle boards, entertainment by the Fergus Falls School of Dance and a fashion show by the Someplace Safe Fergus Falls Thrift Store.
Attend: Tickets may be purchased beginning in January at the Someplace Safe Fergus Falls Advocacy Office or from a table hostess. Contact the Someplace Safe Fergus Falls Advocacy Office at 218-739-2853 for more information.

Get Involved:
- Table Hostesses: Table hostesses are welcome each year. Table hostesses provide table décor and place settings for a table of 8. Feel free to get creative with the theme and décor of the table! Table hostesses will also receive a book of tickets to sell … allowing them to show off their festive table to friends while gathering supporters of our work in the community! - Silent Auction Items: If you would like to contribute a silent auction item, please contact us. Items such as themed gift baskets, handmade items, artwork, gift cards, merchandise, event tickets and experiences make great features for the annual silent auction. Silent auction items may be dropped off or mailed to Someplace Safe at 106 South Union Avenue, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.
- Fashion Show Models: If you or your group would like to participate as a model in the annual Tea Fashion Show, please contact Someplace Safe. The fashion show features clothing from the agency’s Thrift Store in Fergus Falls.
- Financial Contributions: To make a financial contribution (sponsorship or monetary donation), please drop off or mail your donation to Someplace Safe at 106 South Union Avenue, Fergus Falls, MN 56537. Donations may also be made online at www.someplacesafe.info/donate. Please select “Tea Fundraiser – Fergus Falls” as the designation of your donation.
- Volunteers: Volunteers are always welcome for a variety of things leading up the event such as preparing mailings, collecting silent auction items, contacting table hostesses, coordinating the fashion show models, etc. A number of volunteers are also needed at the event, such as an emcee, table servers, raffle board/game attendants, fashion show models, and others. Purple Power Fundraiser – Breckenridge/Wahpeton

Benefitting the Someplace Safe Wilkin Advocacy Office
The annual Purple Power Fundraiser is a popular “Ladies Night Out” featuring purses and all things purple! From designer handbags to specialty themed bags, backpacks, clutches, and everything in between … this is the event to be at for PURSES!
- Why purple? Purple is the color used to raise awareness of domestic violence and honor families, loved ones and community members that have been affected by this far-reaching crime. On average, 1 in 3 women experience domestic violence.
- Why purses? A woman’s purse is often a vital survival kit for those living with domestic violence; filled with important documents, hidden money, and keys that may be needed in an emergency. The Purple Power Fundraiser features a variety of purses each year to help raise awareness of the safety concerns and needs of victims.
The Purple Power Fundraiser features an expansive silent auction, raffle boards, $1 auction, live purse auction, the much-anticipated Purse Scavenger Hunt, food, desserts, and prize drawings!

- Handbags: Purses are a main feature of Purple Power and a variety of stylish bags are needed each year to ensure the success of the event. Handbags are needed for the silent auction, raffle boards, and live group auction. If you, your group, or business would like to contribute a handbag, please contact Someplace Safe. Purses may be dropped off or mailed to Someplace Safe at 110 5th Street N, Breckenridge, MN 56520.
- Silent Auction/Raffle Board Items: If you would like to contribute a silent auction item, please contact us. Items such as themed gift baskets, handmade items, artwork, gift cards, merchandise, event tickets and experiences make great features for the annual silent auction. Items may be dropped off or mailed to Someplace Safe at 110 5th Street N, Breckenridge, MN 56520.

- Volunteers: Volunteers are always welcome for a variety of things leading up the event such as preparing mailings, collecting purses and silent auction/raffle items, event décor, coordinating the Purse Scavenger Hunt, organizing the dessert bar, etc. A number of volunteers are also needed at the event, such as an emcee, raffle board/game attendants, dessert bar attendants, set up, clean up, etc. Contact Someplace Safe for more information at 218-643-3109.
Purse & Yeti Bingo Fundraiser and Spring Raffle – Glenwood
Occurs annually each May
Benefitting the Someplace Safe Pope County Advocacy Office
The annual Purse & Yeti Bingo Fundraiser and Spring Raffle is always a sold-out hit! Join us and be ready to shout “B-I-N-G-O” while enjoying food and drink specials provided by Captain’s Bar in Glenwood, MN. Bingo winners have an amazing selection of designer purses and Yeti brand tumblers to choose from. In addition, raffle tickets are sold for additional chances to win prizes and gift baskets from local retailers and businesses. Winners are announced during a break in the bingo games that afternoon.
Attend: Bingo packets are available for purchase at Captain’s Bar on the day of the event. Be sure to get there early for seating at this annual sold-out fundraiser! Raffle tickets are available to purchase at the event. Cash/check only.

Several volunteers are also needed at the event to help sell bingo tickets, raffle tickets, and to help staff spot bingo winners each round. Annual Summer Virtual Auction Fundraiser – Agencywide

Benefitting Someplace Safe Parenting Time Center
The annual Summer Virtual Auction Fundraiser features an online auction, making it easy to participate from anywhere! Register online and browse and bid throughout the week on a variety of items from local businesses. Winners will be contacted by Someplace Safe staff.
